A. The three major U.S. credit bureaus sell your information legally to other lenders based on recent inquiries on a credit report. This can happen when a report is requested for anything including credit cards, auto loans, home loans and even your Approval Guard report. Unfortunately the only way to prevent this from happening is to sign up with the "opt out" feature offered through the credit bureaus. By accepting the terms and services of ApprovalGUARD™ will be done automatically for you. As a consumer you may also visit www.optoutprescreen.com or call 1-888-5OptOut 1-888-567-8688 to opt-out of these offers. This is a free service to consumers offered by the major credit bureaus. The process takes approximately 3 - 5 business days.
